NOVI, MI – April 11, 2025 – Corrigan is teaming up with WDIV Local 4 and Human-I-T to offer the community a secure and environmentally conscious way to dispose of sensitive documents and unwanted electronics. The “Go 4 It: Shred and Protect” event will take place on Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22nd, at Corrigan’s Novi facility.
From 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, residents can visit Corrigan at 45200 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375, to take advantage of both secure document shredding and responsible e-waste recycling.
Secure Document Destruction by Corrigan
Participants can bring up to 300 pounds of paper documents (roughly 8-10 small copy boxes) per vehicle for immediate, on-site shredding. Corrigan requests that documents be brought in boxes (approx. 10″x12″x15″), paper bags, or reusable containers – please, no binders or plastic bags mixed with paper. Staples, paper clips, and rubber bands are acceptable.
As a NAID AAA certified and HIPAA compliant provider, Corrigan ensures the highest security standards. Our staff will handle unloading, and all shredded paper is recycled into new products.
E-Waste Recycling by Human-I-T
Human-I-T will be on-site to collect electronic waste, accepting up to 10 items per vehicle. Most items with a plug or battery are accepted (excluding large kitchen appliances), including computers, monitors, printers, phones, tablets, TVs, cables, and gaming consoles.
Human-I-T utilizes NAID AAA- and ISO-Certified methods to guarantee data destruction on donated devices before they are responsibly recycled or refurbished and repurposed.
This Earth Day event provides a valuable opportunity for the community to protect their personal information while also contributing to environmental sustainability. Don’t miss the “Shred and Protect” event on April 22nd in Novi!
