We celebrated 5 years of our Community Shred Day this past month. We have seen so much growth over the past 5 years. Our first year we averaged 40-50 people and now we see on average 175 people attend. This past month we helped 190 residents shred over 11 tons of personal documents. All of our shredded paper gets delivered directly to a paper mill which recycles it into products like paper towel and toilet paper. Our Community Shred Day is always held on the first Saturday of every month from 9 am until noon. Our staff is there to help you unload your car and we send your personal documents directly to our shredder. You can even stay if you want to watch our shredder in action. The cost for our Community Shred Day is only $5.00 for filling one bin (300 pounds of paper) and then only 10 cents a pound if you go over the one bin. We also shred computer hard drives for $5.00 or still in the tower/laptop for $10.00. If you can’t make our Community Shred Day, we are open Monday-Friday in our Novi location from 9 am until 4 pm for accepting your personal documents to be shredded. The cost during the week is 10 cents a pound with a $15.00 minimum charge. Please call our office at 248-344-9185 to make an appointment if you would like to view your documents shredded during the week. Our next Community Shred Day will be on July 7th. Thank you to all the residents for supporting our Community Shred Day!
